Dhelan-Class Warbird Fan-Made Remaster (Star Trek Online)

A result of a loose conversation with Art Director Thomas Marrone in relation to the addition of the Daetra-Class Pilot Warbird in the Legendary Last Stand Bundle last year, this sparked an Idea to retcon the Dhelan Warbird, a long established design in Star Trek Online's history since the Legacy Of Romulus update, to the Early 24th Century time period, where the "Lost-Era" would shift towards TNG.

My Immediate thought was to capitolise on the D'Deridex Warbird's aesthetics and bridge the gap between the design language of STO's Daetra and the well established D'Deridex to create something that would have been active or in development hell during the 30 year silence between the Federation and the Romulan Star Empire, and eventually put out of service in favor of the big green hulking brute we all fear today.

Alot of heavy design inspirations were taken from the D'Deridex and small references to the Daetra's aesthetic along the way, but I hit a major roadblock when trying to conceptualise a proper head design and wing panelling that would invoke the Lost Era aesthetic, so I reached out to AtolmAzel, who I believe has the best understanding of the Romulan design language and progression I've known.

Although he doesn't vibe with STO's design ethos rather strongly, this triggered an subconcience desire within me to mediate what would otherwise be two VERY polarising takes on Romulan Warbird designing, and what came out of it I absolutely adore and cannot thank him enough for his constructive crtiques and assistance.

This resulted in a very smooth and elegant iteration of STO's original designs and something that is like a direct upgrade to the Dhelan-Class, and something that would have probably served as wingmen of a single D'Deridex Warbird. and I have learned quite alot about Starship design from his point of view.

The original initial design wasn't completely forgotten however, as I also made an alternate hull part that closely resembles the Dhelan's silohette in game, done with many of Atolm's advice in mind.

This also utilises the Refreshed Ship textures of the D'Deridex from Tzenkethi13's mod for the game, though I had to desaturate to be more of a greyish green.

I really hope you all enjoy this imagintive remix of the Dhelan Warbird!
though I doubt this would be included in the game itself unlike the Negh'Tev and Sao-Paulo fanremasters.
