Casually filling the gap of remaster love for the Klingon Empire lol
Anyways, completed some renders for my (Oversized) take of the Remastered Klingon K'T'inga Class Battlecruiser Refit!
Which is too big to be considered a refit so it might as well be it's own dedicated ship class
*How does, 'Qogh'Daj' sound?*
How this differs from the original (apart from being similarly sized to the Nutrek D7) is that it is no longer the squashed, anorexic or underwhelmingly not threatening, and now wears Donny Versiga's Vo'Devwl hull materials that gone through a basic UV Unwrap by Captain Whitmire, but extensively modified by me to be easier to read the details.
The remaster also takes a much more lore heavy focus from the game.
After the great Klingon houses were reunited under the chancellorship of L'Rell and Ty'Gokor's recent and startling breakthroughs in combining centuries old House Mo'kai technology with Modern 25th Century technology with the M'Chla Bird Of Prey refit and to honour the Matriarch's flagship I.K.S. K'T'inga's grand and glorious return as well for it's pivotal role in the Klingon civil war, the aging K'T'inga was completely overhauled for it's return amongst the Klingon Imperial Navy's numbers ,ensuring the D7's legacy would be continued to be sung by warriors for centuries to come.
The symbolism of unity of the Klingon Empire is extremely invocative in the refit's Aesthetics, with call-backs to the distinctively organic and skeletal structures of the Klingon ships of House Mo'kai merged with the aesthetics of the Vor'cha, Negh'var and B'rel BoP's distinct and angular hull panelling and sturdy and modern hull plating of the Vo'Devwl carrier, all equipped on the rugged, versatile and traditional frame of the D7 but with a much larger scale resulting in a sharper, regal and aggressive iteration of the D7's evolution.
The refit now boasts newfound manoeuvrability and powerful Impulse engines that are comparable to many Birds of prey, and is heavily armed with quad heavy disruptor cannons and beam arrays capable of firing in wide arcs with firepower. And with the use the newly developed Kri'stak inferno cascade distribution matrix, which allows the ship's weapons systems to draw power directly from the ship's warp core through controlled overloading and channel the excess power output to charge all weapons to deliver an onslaught of high yield strikes to deliver devastatingly lethal blows to any vessel unfortunate enough to be caught in it's line of sight.
